Conserver the 4-0-Forest

Restoration in Freedom Park

Each year, Trees Atlanta celebrates the 4-0-Forest – evoking Atlanta’s oldest area code (404) – with multi-day work efforts focused on forest restoration in parks throughout the City.

On April 18th, Freedom Park Conservancy and Trees Atlanta are seeking YOUR assistance in improving the Freedom Park habitat- for humans who use our greenspace for recreation, and for the wildlife that call our Park ‘home.’

Volunteer activities are led by Trees Atlanta and include hand-pulling and cutting invasive plants such as English ivy, Chinese privet, and Kudzu in a densely wooded area off of the Freedom Park trail (near the intersection of Linwood Ave and Ralph McGill Blvd NE).
