Freedom Park Conservancy Walking Tour

When: Sunday February 25 at 2 PM
Price: 100% of the $10 ticket price will be donated to Freedom Park

Join us for a walk to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Freedom Park. We’ll consider the legacy of Lewis, King and Carter – all world leaders who anchor Lewis Freedom Parkway. And we will share stories about the kinds of local community leaders who shared these leaders commitment to working for a rich and healthy community. Lewis, King and Carter all started their careers in their own local communities. Let’s celebrate local folks from the Freedom Park adjacent neighborhoods who share their values and the tradition of our leaders who shared a commitment to civic engagement.

Route Information:
We will be starting at the corner of Boulevard and John Lewis
Freedom Parkway and will walk a little more than a mile. We will be walking at a comfortable stroll for 90 minutes to 2 hours and will have opportunities to stop and talk. Participants can return the starting point either by walking back on their own or taking an uber/lyft.

Weather:
Know that we will walk unless the weather is unseasonably cold or freezing rain. If needed, the rain date will be Sunday March 3 at 2 PM and walkers will be notified by email the night before.
