How can we say thank you to these individuals who have contributed so much to the Freedom Park Conservancy?
Nancy Boyd
Nancy Boyd has been an incredible asset to the board and to the Freedom Park Conservancy as a whole. As Board Vice Chair and Art Chair, Nancy has brought unique and valuable insight to all her work.
Commitment, enthusiasm, and community are three characteristics that first come to mind when thinking about Nancy. Nancy is a passionate member of her community, whether that community be Freedom Park, Atlanta, or the arts sector, and she can be relied on to represent each community to the fullest.
I am sure I speak for all the board directors when I say Nancy will be missed. We eagerly await her next leg of the journey.
Naka Nathaniel
Naka Nathaniel did an amazing job in this capacity as Development Chair. I appreciated the positive attitude and support he brought to the group. His leadership, encouragement and support helped events like Elder and Dwelling be realized in our community.
I know I’m not alone in saying how much I’m going to miss Naka as a fellow board director. He’s thoughtful, clever, and just an all-around-fantastic human being. Thank you for all you’ve contributed to Freedom Park Naka! I am honored that you will be on the Freedom Park Conservancy Advisory Board. It’s important that we have your voice to guide us in the future.
Nancy Megehee
What can I say? Everyone should be lucky enough to have a Nancy Megehee in their lives and in their organization. Nancy is a common-sense voice who gets things done.
Nancy’s work as the Conservancy Secretary and the Governance Committee has been HUGE. Nancy is always there encouraging us to have thoughtful conversation and helping us forge ideas and intentions into actionable, concrete, and realistic plans. I think we can all look forward to what Nancy is up to in the future.
